On a 130mm fork a 65deg HTA is pretty good for a 'ripper', no? Not crazy slack but not XC geo. Chart shows 65 deg static too so it's not that slack really.

Looks like a great bike for £600, worth upgrades over time, more of a fun laps ripper than big loop cruiser though.
James... Off the top of your head (if you can recall that far back) whats the headset standard on the Pinnacle Ramin 650b Plus. I'm gonna try and order one today but just wanna get your take for cross referencing. Please :-bd

I'm taking mine to the WRT so hopefully it'll be a good bikepacking bike

It's got a 130 on there at the moment but the eventual plan is to put a rigid fork on (something like a travis prong which I think is a sag adjusted 120mm). The wheels are fairly hefty too and its got SX on there but at 600 quid its ripe for slow drip of upgrades. It's a bit of a tank at 2kg more than my XC full sus and it's very very long (grumble my large half frame bag off my gravel bike is about 4 inches too short!) and very wide (780 handlebars!) but in the limited amount of riding I've done with it so far I've not really noticed any of that, just when trying to lift it over a gate since upper body strength is not my thing.

It's 44mm ID, for either a zero stack aka semi-integrated lower cup (ZS44 / 28.6) if using a straight steerer (ie the original steel fork), or fit a external lower cup (EC44 / 38.1) if you want to use a taper steerer.

Not sure if this qualifies as bargain as still a little spendy, but as Columbia Outdry jackets seem popular here, thought I'd flag this:
https://www.sportpursuit.com/catalog/pr ... id/2178518
OutDry Ex Alta Peak Down Jacket down to £125 in XL only. Being both down filled and fully waterproof may be a little too niche....

Given Columbia's sizing I suspect the only person sn XL would 'fit" is Ton

Thanks for the tip offs. I could do with a new down jacket since my 9 year old cheap one is pretty tatty, and is now effectively a pullover since the zip is bust, so popped to the one in Byker. There were two down pullovers in M and L, both bluey-green (no idea what colour baby s**t is and unlikely to find out, but hope it's not that  ), £90. Would much prefer a full zip so will have a look in the one in town tomorrow.

They're obviously very lightweight, but presumably punch above their weight being better quality. Am I being unrealistic in expecting one to be as warm as my old one with 70/30 down feathers, lower fill power (maybe 650), stitched through, larger gaps between baffles, etc.?

Picked up a micro puff jacket in red for 109. The shiny blue/green of the pullovers really is a colour only a mother could love

Not bad for a Ti one. I'd have been mildly interested if I didn't already have a steel one....

While I still despise the name, I really do rate my Warroad. It's an excellent do it all bike. I probably ride it more than my Cutthroat these days.
