I'm not that mentally unstable - yet.
On a related note g***le's daily famous birthday yesterday was Kitty O'Neil, who I recall from my youth being a bit of a hero after attaching herself to various things powered by various explosive liquids and going very fast. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kitty_O%27Neil

Project abandoned! I must admit it seems quite difficult to fuel your machine up with all those tiny little canisters.

I returned safely late last night from the Peak District following lots of wedding type things. My favourite part of which was a quote from the brides fathers speech. He was present at the birth of his grandson (my nephew had covid and couldn't attend) and he described looking down onto his daughters bed after the birth as like 'looking down onto the deck of a Japanese Whaling ship' - quite touching I thought

It's like I'm there! That is fantastic

Probably about time I posted in happy Friday, not the best start to the year so far but I’ve now got 12 days off :-bd Still yet to make a plan of what to do but suspect mini-voodoo has plenty of ideas…

Just offloaded one child for the weekend, and the other is on a sleepover, so it’s the first totally child free evening & next morning for 6 years.

Cheery today as I had a day off after leaving a role that has given an amazing amount of stress for a long time. It's been a fight for near on 18 months against a manager who has been intent on bringing not just me, but half of the team down with blatant lies and self-interest. Within the last month, 5 out of 8 of his team have been sacked, retired or moved on because of him. And he gets away with it. I'm getting out but not without my rep being scarred. Anyway, cheery in that I start what should be a decent new role on Monday. Still slightly un- easy and wary due to HR seemingly going against what my new manager wants to offer but we'll take that as it comes. For now, beers are being enjoyed to celebrate.

Just come home from a leaving do for someone I’ve worked with for 30 years. It occurred to me, as I sat on the end of a table of 15 people, that I’ve really like working with all of them for many years.

Made a key ring (whilst mini voodoo was making her things), if you really squint and hold it far away, you may see a resemblance…

Be vigilant Bob; Yorkshire - if your head swells up to the size of a balloon you'll know you're number 2.

Joking apart, not nice, I don't envy you folks in tick hotspots.

Apparently the tick is doing ok.
