At long last, here’s to the clocks changing, summer approaching and dry, dusty trails on the horizon… :-bd

So, if I'd postponed yesterday's ride until today, I could have avoided the slop...?

Doesn't summer just mean the rain is warmer?

I went over the same mucky nud today as I did the last ride on Friday. But (maybe!?) the slightly summery atmosphere met the muck was less sloppy but more clingy. So it attacked my jockey wheels and I had to find sticks to 'cockroach' it out.

But on the upside, when my drige train wasnt trying to seize up there wss a nice little atmosphere going on. The winter fleece jacket didn't need to keep coming on and off - it stayed on along with my two merino jersey/baselayer. Plus the hat, once it and the winter gloves came off, my fingers didn't freeze up straight away :-bd

Can't wait for the slop to dry over :-bd

Give this a go and the "freezing" bit of your description will be least of your worries

You’d have to take some sticky pads for your tent guys to anchor to…
