WRT 2023 Sold Out?
Had a bit of a nightmare start to the year with work, so have been somewhat disorganised / running around like a headless chicken...
Just went to sort out my WRT spot only to see that it's showing as "Out of Stock". Is that a glitch, or have I screwed up thinking that I'd be OK not jumping on it? Didn't realise it had got like the BB200!

Dee closed entries yesterday BUT she did so knowing that some members of this establishment would get in touch If that's you, email me

Is that a first for the WRT Stu? Big entry or managing infrastructure!?
We go out into the hills to lose ourselves, not to get lost. You are only lost if you need to be somewhere else and if you really need to be somewhere else then you're probably in the wrong place to begin with.

Re: WRT 2023 Sold Out?
Why have I closed the event? With supplies of just about everything in this country being low, we need to order the t shirts earlier than usual, eggs are being rationed in our shops so I'm baking early so not all the cake ends up being vegan. Everyone pray for a 10 dry days leading up to the event, we've lots of vehicles to park in a sloping field, much easier to achieve when the grass is dry

Baps still available are they though? I'd like to be first in the queue please if Colette needs to restrict access to hers. It would be most unseemly if we had to fight to grab hold of one.
(may as well get this traditional reference out of the way now before anyone else feels obliged to)

And no, I'm not going to bring up what she did to my sausage last year.

Oh no! I was really hoping to do it with the lonely hearts group. Didn’t realise there was a risk of selling out.
Is there a reserve list or something I can join in case someone can’t make it?

Happy to whip up a couple of bakes to bring with me, if that helps...?
There are theories at the bottom of my jargon.

Trains all booked, so all I need now is a set of GRs to studiously avoid and I'm sorted.

Re: WRT 2023 Sold Out?
Oh, talking of which, last night I had a nightmare. Well, it wasn't one of those forgotten-to-revise-for-maths-exam-wake-up-screaming jobs, so more of a bad dream but it was pretty vivid. I realised my WRT train was about to leave in an hour and I hadn't got ready or packed anything. Woke up with a jolt.
Once I was awake I remembered that this is completely normal and nothing to worry about .

I'd love a nightmare like that. Last night, or rather very early this morning, I awoke with a jolt as I'd dreamed that my feet had turned into giant boobs and I was walking about 20ft above everything. No. Really. My big toe was the nipple and everything. I swear it was a throw back to something I read in the 1980s but for now I am owning it.RIP wrote: ↑Thu Mar 23, 2023 12:17 pmOh, talking of which, last night I had nightmare. Still. Terrifying.

What was it that you read in the 80s? I think we need to know as it has some bearing on the situation . Got a vague memory of a Viz character somehow.
Giant boobs? Not convinced that's a nightmare .

On your feet though. It's hard enough finding waterproof and warm footwear as it is, adding bras will only complicate things further!

Although, does this walking 6.1m above everyone mean they were allowing you to float in the air? Could make tussock bashing a lot easier, and no more fcking about with gates.
