I got a pair as my schwalbe G-ones are nearly done. Seem OK in the lounge test although reviews suggest the usual WTB sealant leakage through the side walls. I liked the idea of them have a puncture proof layer as the g-ones puncture as soon as look at them, and don't always seal....
ime Byways are much longer lasting than G-Ones. Tread area is far tougher and thicker. I have Byways that are maybe 5 years old, regular use, G-One Speeds are down to the threads in 18 months with the same use. G-Ones roll a bit easier/smoother and maybe faster though. Supple factor innit, the Heine Effect

Rab SilTarp £40

https://www.sportsshoes.com/product/rab ... 2-shelter/

& Shelter £60

https://www.sportsshoes.com/product/rab ... sku-rab371

There’s also a Rab bivvy bag but even though its massively reduced i’m not sure its a bargain.

Planet X have the Zastrugi 2 person tent reduced to £50 at the moment. Not the lightest at 2kg but in terms of £ per gram its pretty good.

No idea on the quality but seems to be a Big Agnes Fly creek clone:

Just in Home Bargains and the only gas in the shelves like this is a Butane only gas with no propane in it.
So i'll leave it.

Additional
I went to Go Outdoors and bought 2 large Coleman cannisters for £7 each.

From the website FAQ's

"For the United Kingdom, the price on our website will be the final cost to you. There will be no additional VAT or duty charges requested on delivery by our carriers."

Great price for those tyres

It a great shame when a distributor go bust Moore + Large, Derby.
[source bike biz].
Yes the may be short term gains as a bargain may be had,
but ultimately that means less choice at your LBS or dropping some brands in the uk. but bike shops loose credit or money owned and staff loose employment .
The auction goes live on Friday 24th march.

Are these any good for bike packing?

Sliding dropouts and takes 2.8 tyre which I like but 65 head angle and 130 mm travel forks are probably not ideal (and heavy) for bikepacking.
Not the lightest at 15 kg
My opinion it would be ok but it's an" aggressive " hardtail rather than a comfort waggon.
Doubt you can get much better for the price so worth it if it's all you can afford.
Never ridden one
YMMV etc

Not ridden one but for £600, I don’t think you’ll go too wrong.

Be quick though as the offer is limited, think I read first 20 orders?

Blimey they were £700 a while back (PAulB52 highlighted this) and I came very close to buying one as a trail ripper but the 65 degree headangle put me off...
Looks an OK bike otherwise for that price. Shades of the old Inbreds which were similarly cheap

Put a shorter rigid fork on and it'd be a better bike packing bike?

On a 130mm fork a 65deg HTA is pretty good for a 'ripper', no? Not crazy slack but not XC geo. Chart shows 65 deg static too so it's not that slack really.

Looks like a great bike for £600, worth upgrades over time, more of a fun laps ripper than big loop cruiser though.
