FS: Travis BOOST Prong EVO

Post by redefined_cycles »

I almost forgot it's friday. One of the best days for us. Friday prayers and that. Anyway, to celebrate we're giving away some brandnew forks (almost)*.

They're lovely and every so often I take a look at em and feel priveleged. Missus just saw me hugging em (literally... don't wanna make em less brandnew now do we) and said, "oh, they're nice".

So who's 'the one'. £210 ONO :-bd

You can't have the Mount Zoom thru axle that Mr Travis sends out with it and nor can you have the buffy thing.

Image
It's these but more beautiful in the flesh. Just 7 months old (of being sat waiting to be married to a Santa Cruz).

*Almost: cos I'm already the first owner so they'd be classed as second hand technically. Unused, unmarked, uncut. Inclusive of the brand new steerer bung in it packaging but I'll be keeping the thru axle as a momento (sorry).

Yes, cage mounts. But the bolts are pretty too. They have some logo on em and the flat head bolts. Reminder to self - best get a hex key on em to make sure they're opening and closing perfectly.

Itsthe matt version if that helps the super fortunate person :-bd

498mm Allen. Says it here https://www.traversbikes.com/store.html ... /420328101

Will get the tape measure on it aswell if you wanna double check but Travers is very 'attention to detail'...

Comes with it's original box. Totally unused but the box does have one of my jobslist written on it.

Yes that's right. BOOST is what refers to that. But includes a Hope adaptor to convert and use a normal (I'd assume Hope) hub.

Ah I didn’t realise it was internal routing. I’ll pass thank you Shaf. Look beautiful though.

Oh dear... Internal routing for someone of your caliber Allen. Just messing, but out of interest. Why so the distaste/like of internal routing (aside from the faff of cutting the brake hose every time you swap bike obviously and the rest of the faff that comes with it).

I’m a switch switchy person. Id like to chop and change from suspension to rigid and I can’t really be bothered bleeding brakes all the time. I did contemplate buying another brake to leave in, but £££.

Good point, well made... Yes, I find the faff of pulling out the hydraulic lines a bit of a pain aswell. Whichever bike it does go on, I suppose it best stay there for a while. Got a bit of interest so maybe it'll sell...

Lovely forks. If I wasn't so completely invested in 20th century tech', I'd have 'em.
May the bridges you burn light your way
