Morocco March 2023

I'm heading to southern Morocco in a couple of weeks.
Probably for a month or more. Over the Atlas and riding around the desert.

Just checking to see if anyone else will be out there.

Yep. I'm hoping to start from Marrakesh on around the 3rd of March.

I'm heading out in 2 weeks. Marrakech as well.
It will be my 3rd trip to Morocco by bike.

What route(s) are you doing?. I'm going to follow the 2019 AMR route then link it up with the Route of Caravans off Bikepacking.com. Plus some other stuff to get me back to Fez. Probabaly bus it to Tangiers from Fez for the ferry to Spain. Looking to be in Morocco for about 2 months.

This sounds ace, especially seeing pics from the AMR. I admire both of you for getting out there and going for it. Have a great time and show us some pics when you're back.

I've always fancied cycling there so looking forward to seeing the pics and hearing all about your trips!

I won't be following a route.
Just going to do a lot of detours into the desert and trying to find some old abandoned Kasbahs/forts. (See my last trip).
A lot of remote exploring rather than a big long ride.
I was also hoping to ride up the Algerian border and ferry across to Spain (from Melilla). But I only have a Euro month left (something about Brexit) , so not enough time to cycle home on an MTB.
