Isobaa merino at sport persuit 50% off. No idea on the quality but just picked up a l/s top for 35 quid, about one third of the equivalent Smartwool.

dhb spd shoes £25.50 delivered

https://www.wiggle.co.uk/dhb-dorica-mtb-shoe-2

got a pair of these for commuting so i dont ruin my nice shoes just slogging to work and back. Laces are not as much of a pain as i was expecting having always used boa's

They are really great value, stiff enough - im used to carbon soles and still found these ok, defo size down 1 size though than youd normally buy.

I've got three isobaa base layer tops, two thin and one thick and a hoody. They have been really good with none of the delaminating that HH ones suffer from after a few years

Well, there's a coincidence - my HH base layer has just exhibited that exact behaviour (had it for over a decade, though)

SportPursuit pretty much always have Isobaa stuff at around half the supposed RRP, I think Isobaa is one of their own brands, the Isobaa website used to more or less identical to the SportPursuit one, but had full prices.
It is good stuff though.

There's some fairly cheap Lowe Airzone pro 35:45 rucksacks in Black's sale at the moment. I think Dave / Northwind uses one. Certainly looked good gear during the packraft trip we had to Crummock water.

About £65.

You seem to save fiver if you pick the one with orange detailing :???:

Affirmative. I have too many rucksacks, but this one is probably my favourite

I’ve got that rucksack too, really great features and design but I don’t find it anywhere near as comfy as my Osprey Stratos

Arrived today. Sadly not the "Pro" pack but the "Pro Trail" version. Some small (but important differences, AFAIC). Sending back on their dime.

Hey ho

EDIT - fair play the differences are pretty hard to spot from the description and images. Reminds meof trying to tell the difference between all the old Outdry models.

A guy I know locally got the whole micro shift drive train in the Black Friday sale super cheap and rates it on his fat bike.

That’s the only reason I was inclined to pop this on here really and take a punt myself, I commute year round, the cheaper I can get fit for purpose consumables the better!

From Mens's Health Magazine.

Tumeric + Tablets normally £19 per 28 pack, free first pack with code TF220, just pay the £1.50 postage. This subscribes you but you can cancel at any time.

That's good to hear. And exactly the same thinking here - the winter grime is not kind to the drive chain...

I bought the Advent 10 speed cassette, derailleur and shifter for my Vitus, swapping out the rather clunky Box8 setup. Out the box and on the bike with barely any tinkering, so far done about about 20miles on it and all good... 🤞

I've bought an Advent 9 speed wide cassette 42-11 for £14.99 ... if it only lasts a few months it's fine.

The soles fell off my first pair but the replacement have been ace. Great boot for walking, warm (but not a winter boot per see) and fine up to around 15 degrees. Good fit too - nice and wide.
