the lack of micro SD card of the plus is the deal breaker.

Assuming you want to have OS mapping, isn't the 32 GB internal memory enough?

well my oldest Garmin has 4 GB OS mapping and i have never deleted any route from it
Think my current one is 8GB and no card slot

I would say that memory is more than ample
