Post by firestarter »

Looking to add a bit more easy gears to my mtb and these look like a good price and the idea is a good one less gears harder wearing and less finicky to set up but some reviews are less than complimentary so thought some on here my have used them ta

I haven't bothered with it for many, many moons and feel none the poorer.

Hey ho, HYOH and all that

Buy it and see. Maybe Stu will let you write a review

I haven't tried it. But I quite like the idea.

It will be interesting to see if anyone has used it at all.

(I do realise this is of no help....)

**not used it**

Getting spares would put me off, at least with shimano and sram you can mix and match groupsets (of the same brand), so handy if something is out of stock or something breaks the day before a ride.

Most bike shops will have at least a small selection of Sram and Shimano bits in but not many will keep in Box 9/micro shift/campag etc

Had a look at CRC at the reviews and it doesn’t seem favourable

Been used here for around 2k miles. Never let me down. Spare parts super easy to come by. Any shop with a Moore Large account can help.

I’ve owned

Deore
XT
XTR
Saint
Hone
SLX
X7
X9
X0
XX1
SX Eagle
NX Eagle

Ignore reviews. They’re not worth the keyboard they’re typed on.

Buy it, if you want worry free shifting, more money in your pocket and a better chainline.

Allen got me into it on my Fat Bike and it is brilliant.

When my other bikes need a change over they will be getting it too.

Great price and a nice feel, even a ham fisted non mechanic can fine tune it too.

The only bike that won't get it is my Rohloffed 29er+

I would have loved it Tony but I wouldn't fit the bike nicely unfortunately, best drivetrain ever imho
