Rectangular top tube bag?

Post by FLV »

Does anyone know of a pretty rectangular top tube bag?

It strikes me as the best place to carry my phone, which is also my camera.
Obviously it's a fairly big phone, unfortunately most are. It's not a crazy 6.5" beast tho.

I have an old apidura top tube bag and my favoured older revelate one. Both taper quite a bit towards the rider and so do not fit a / my phone in.

I prefer not to use a backpack, I also prefer not to wear roadie style kit with rear pockets thou admit this is the most useful place.

So, anyone know of a top tube bag that doesn't taper so much and can fit a modern phone in it?

Ta.

The cheap ones from China all fit a smartphone? Not elegant but very functional

Edit - here's an example. First one I found on amazon. Don't have one but a mate has one like it, seems fine https://amzn.eu/d/i5Pwjb6

Maybe the large Acepac ones?

Stu might be able to help as he did sell them.for a while. If not about and I will dig mine out and measure it.

My Restrap top tube bag fits my Galaxy nicely, even with a layer of foam glued inside as a bit of padding.

I have a topeak "tri" bag - should fit a phone if you slot it in, not flat. You can have it for postage as its old and not used for years

Seconded for Acepac I've got both the large and medium and strangely the medium holds my phone better as it doesn't taper so much. It's this one https://www.bergfreunde.es/acepac-fuel- ... 20763295..
