Cache battery for K-lite system

Post by Swede »

Can any of you recommend a cache battery that I can use with my K-lite setup that has through charge capability?

I bought an Anker - didn't work.

I then followed a recommendation in this article https://www.igaro.com/usbcompatibility? ... DbRtGCeym8 and bought TNTOR 5000mAh - didn't work...

Are you sure the K lite does not have an issue seeing as you have used two that should work?

Yes, that's what I'm trying to do. I power on the Garmin when I'm stationary but as soon as I start riding and the dynamo starts generating power it switches off.

Which Ravpower device do you have?

I'm sure I read somewhere that Kelly (K-Lite) had a list of batteries that he'd tested and approved but I can't find it. I think I might send him a mail.

Missed that! Thought it was part of you signature strip. Thanks, I'll take a look. In the meantime I've asked to join the K-Lite forum - hopefully I'll be able to get to help/advise there.

I've had quite a long chat with Kerry and he's confirmed that neither of my cache batteries have the correct passthru.

If I stop peddling then the eTrex starts a 30 second count down before i. I switch over to the AA's or ii. it switches off... I can plug both cache batteries into the USB charger i.e. one discharging and one charging, which works fine but running the rear USB (Qube) light wouldn't be possible.

Please keep the suggestions coming - hopefully we'll get at least two confirmations, which might be enough for me to be persuaded to buy another!

Mophie powerbanks have pass through charging. I use a 4000mAh and it works a treat , its always fully charged at the end of the day to keep the phone topped up BUT my etrex will do the 30second countdown thing when I drop the speed right down.
