For those who read and enjoy history.

While I was shifting through some stuff for yesterdays newsletter, I recalled this https://www.bearbonesbikepacking.co.uk/ ... uG9AjcXJE0

There's five parts and each has a link to the next at the bottom. Someone might enjoy it.

A valuable record is that, and worth another read again. And indeed one very crisply salutes your efforts scribing it all - some don't realise how much time and effort it actually takes. Easily rivals the Rough Stuff archive  .

Reminds me yet again what a fabulous oasis This Place is from all the sanity out there.

Someone should, er, write a book about it

At random, love the phraseology here: "Taking our irresponsibility's seriously, we pressed on with the plan and set a time and location. What assembled in Machynlleth on that December lunchtime was akin to the A Team, only much further down the alphabet. After consuming a plate of deep fried sports nutrition at the 'Dicks Diner' fish and chip shop, our rag-tag band filed out of Mach' and headed for the higher ground".

Gawd I lurve winter rides and desperate bivvies

Over the last couple of years I've read every single article in the 'News and Reviews' section. It's a great place when you are doing a bit of research/need information/can't be arsed finding anything productive to do. I bought a sleeping mat, sleeping bag and shelter partly based on what I've found in there.

Keep 'em coming Stu! :-bd

I'll echo all this. I regularly revisit The Musings of Stu. It's great stuff, fella, witty, insightful and original. Thanks heaps.
I'm just going outside ...
