. . . Even on the very short ride I managed due to the horrible apres works party body and brain malfunction problems I was suffering with on saturday (but at least I made it :) )

Good trip, thanks. As chew and Ian can testify cut gate was a battle with the elements on Saturday. Nice tail wind blowing home though.

A quiet night in now watching SPOTY. Just over 100 miles when I got home. Nice weekend meeting folks old and new.

Hi all,

I am hopefully in the Ladybower area with a couple of friends walking as i cant convince them to use their bikes this coming weekend (plumbing in a new bath appears to have bought me a pass out!). I am hoping to camp out, convincing them to do the same. Cheeky i know, but I was wondering if someone could drop me a grid reference for where you all camped during the winter bivi so i can try to work into my walk.

We stayed at a large flat area next to the river at SK 164 877. Go over the bridge, up the track for c. 200m then turn left at the first gate. There's a fire pit and its very sheltered from southerly winds.

It's an ok bivy spot but if the wind is lighter than our outing (which is almost a certainty) then there's plenty of quieter and more scenic spots.
