Rob Wardell RIP

Post by Robster »

Surprised this hasn’t been mentioned or have I missed it?

Shocking to hear of his passing at such a young age and tragic for his GF and family.

Enjoyed watching his West Highland Way film at the Banff Film Festival.

A work colleague knew him from his racing days and mentioned it. I'd never met him although he's local to me and didn't make the link to the chap who got the FKT of the WHW in 2020 straight away. Bit of a shocker for someone so fit and healthy...

I did see a post of FB that quite quickly seemed to turn into a tasteless argument about covid and vaccines, etc etc.

Yes, no age to go at all. RIP.

Very sad to go at such a young age, especially as he was such a fit guy.
A reminder that the human body is a delicate thing and to make the most of our time here.
