Son hub axles?

Post by Taylor »

I've got a son hub with 15mm bolt through axle, I use a 9mm adaptor for my gravel bike, can I get a 12mm adaptor to apply it to a different fork?

YES but never tried them - reduces 15 to 12 mm [just the first i found full search below

other unethical online stores are available
I have used 20-15mm ones without issue so assume these will be fine as well

End caps are often hub specific so OP is probably best to check with SON.

these are not end caps they are inserts, they go in a 15 mm hole and make it 12 mm

If he was fitting end caps then yes they are almost always hub specific and he would need to speak to SON but he is just reducing the diameter not changing the end cap

Ah ok, so these fit inside the end caps to reduce them?
Cool, I didn't know about these.
