Exposure chargers. Fragile?
Are Exposure wall chargers a bit fragile? I left my Joystick in the bottom of a bag for some time and upon discovering it, thought I'd best charge it. I plugged it into a wall charger. Some seemingly random flashing followed and then nothing. I then plugged it in via usb and it seemed to charge okay. After what I assumed to be a full and lengthy charge followed by some use, I tried the wall charger again and still nowt. Faulty / knackered charger do we think? Could a fully discharged battery damage it?

Re: Exposure chargers. Fragile?
I’ve had three wall chargers for exposure (three lamps), two work and one doesn’t (think it would be an 8th gen joystick that stopped working, but thankfully this is the one I had double of)

Not in my experience.
Is the charger plugged in and switched on prior to connecting the lamp?

Re: Exposure chargers. Fragile?
One of my chargers - probably the original one I got with my (now lost) joystick - croaked. The later ones were different in that they were a different shape but not sure what the actual difference was....
Re: Exposure chargers. Fragile?
I had problems with my charger/Joystick.
After 2x problems, and sending back and forth both the charger and joystick were replaced. They think my faulty charger caused issues with the light.
Although annoying at the time, I’m glad I bought exposure.
The customer service was second to none
No further issues to report

Drop them an email Stu. They're very good at replacing stuff in my experience.
Never had an issue with a charger though.

If the charger output is usb, can you try charging another usb device? Would confirm it's knackered then.

Re: Exposure chargers. Fragile?
If they knock you back Stu I've probably got a spare
Re: Exposure chargers. Fragile?
The chargers do have the feel of being generic units, albeit branded; I've had similar chargers fail in use and trip circuit breakers. Given the attention to detail that goes into the rest of the Exposure package, you'd hope they'd have had some input in to the charger too. I have two, they look very similar, but feel slightly different to the touch. So like Phil, I have a spare if you're stuck.
