Been a fan for years, seen them 7 times, first time supporting Rammstein on "Liebe ist fur alla da" ... I much prefer the earlier stuff - Everybody Hates You, Today we are Demons & the fantastic What the F*ck is Wrong with you people? (their best album I think).

Off to Bristol shortly to see Johnny & Robert doing Lost in the Cedar Woodgodivatrailrider wrote: ↑Mon Mar 28, 2022 7:13 pm Johnny Flynn - Lost in the Cedar Wood
This is in collaboration with Robert Macfarlane and is fabulous . It’s folk at it’s best , with a touch of Alt-J , Mumfords, Jethro Tull.

This flipped up at random. >Go-For-It 'Girl-Band' Alert<. Quite off the wall really but I've got into it now. Got a good rasping vocal on her has our lass, and some powerful stick work going on there too.
Not sure if it's Fanny by Blind Alley, or Blind Alley by Fanny though. Probably doesn't matter
In fact I'm giving this a few re-plays and it really is quite impressive.

Not heard this Dollies one before either. Not their usual style somehow. Quite like it.

Re: What are you listening to now?
last night we finally got to see Electric Ladies of the 80's tour .
Toyah & Hazel O'connor were on billed for june 2020 at a local venue Holmfirth Picturedome. the lockdown got it the way yah-di-yah
Hazel O'Connor couldnt be there with ongoing heath issues.
Lene Lovioch & Saffron (Republica) took her place.. and covered a few of her hits.
It was a brilliant gig in smaller venue. Well worth the wait. maybe a bit edgy, but too tuneful for most on here....

IDLES, I've only just found these. Something almost disturbing about it, not unlike Therapy. Most of you will hate it
Here's one to be goin' on with from a few years ago https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VODKZxsRa_E
and if you like that there's an up to date live set here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VODKZxsRa_E

Went to see Waltor Trout last night (me dads request) and had a great night He was supported by someone called Elles Bailey and she plus her guitarist was amazing, well worth a listen if you’re into your blues

Lovely intro. Yes I know, Dollies again. No apologies. Where's that yellow Telly gone though?! At the [Road]menders? In the dressing room?
Only EXACTLY 3 months to the day to go now. Only had to wait three years, sigh.

Re: What are you listening to now?
As befits my age I am listening to the Saturday Rock Show with Johnny Walker on the radiogram.
We go out into the hills to lose ourselves, not to get lost. You are only lost if you need to be somewhere else and if you really need to be somewhere else then you're probably in the wrong place to begin with.

We just left a pub because the bloke playing guitar in there attempted MC Hammer’s “Can’t touch this” unplugged
