Question.....

Who's got two thumbs and (due to attempting an early morning pre-departure kitchen and bathroom u-bend clean) is going exactly nowhere today???

Water f@#king EVERYWHERE, smelly sludge worthy of a nationwide Thursday evening doorstep clap all over me, the kids screaming about not wanting to spit their toothpaste in the toilet and now sitting grumpily awaiting the emergency plumber to try to figure out exactly what very expensive thing has broken - yay!!!!! :-bd

At least now I've had time to weigh-in (silver linings and all that...).

(25-12-21 - 125.1kg)
01-01-22 - 121.2kg
07-01-22 - 122.2kg
15-01-22 - 121.8kg

Target = 95kg (eventually)

Just trying to figure out if I can move the trip by a day but work looking tricksy, attempting to not let it get to me but currently failing.

Yup! I'm off early tomorrow morning now. No work solution presented itself and so I've simply decided to go and not to do the work I've got on until I get back - simples!

I just hope that another three or four showers removes this drain stink!

Goal - less.

15 Jan - still 98.5 kg
21 Jan - 96.6 (15st 3lb) - generally booze free during the week.

Down to 81.3kg now, so the initial rapid weight loss has slowed down, but that's still 300g/day.

Extra bonus, that brought the BMI down to 25 so I'm not overweight any more!!

Good news:

I went on my nano-adventure and it was bloody lovely! A sniff over two days away from home and I managed to squeeze in two five hour drives, two sunny gravel-tastic rides (45km and 91km), two train journeys, two iconic Italian cities visited and two nice sleeps.

Bad news:

Despite eating sensibly, staying away from booze and riding loads I managed to come back heavier than I left - what gives???

Obviously plenty of contributory factors and not really worrying as we'll see what's what on Friday.

I bloody love riding bikes I do!!!!!

Great work all, having my first weigh in tomorrow, I have been struggling with a cold and the aftermath of a rough December.

20th Jan, 100.7kg.

I'm pleased with my progress so far.

hey you got out and did lots of miles (or Km) :-bd
you ate sensibly o:-)
you've converted adipose tissue to muscular tissue.
Try a different metric, have you lost a few cm or are clothes getting looser?
I hope you think you know, what I might of exactly meant.

Currently (very much not) enjoying the post-bike trip blues.

Fed up with everything and everyone and so despite being good while away I've since been unceremoniously shovelling crap inside myself under the guise of 'refuelling' and so no surprise I'm up a bit.

In a few days it'll be the one month milestone of zero booze which is nice and I'm totally not bothered about it still at this point.

Oh and as we're nearing the end of the month it'll soon be time for me to begin some kind of graphic representation of everyone's progress this far.

Not sure what form it'll take yet but I'll try a few things out and present something as aesthetically pleasing as I can.

But it'll likely not be until the first week of February when I'll be bed bound and recovering from my hernia op - yay! :-bd

Weigh-in for me tomorrow. Wife came back two days early from working out her notice Shetland yesterday, so had a celebratory takeaway last night. No point weighing that

Target 1 - 27th March, 95kg

Re-start (2021) 101kg
14th Jan 99.2kg
20th Jan 99.0kg

again, right direction, but not enough.
Was properly hungry after my ride last night, ended up stuffing pasta and then snacks galore down my greedy face at around 11pm, so lucky to have not rolled onto the scale...

Yeah, Thursday is a regular night ride for us too. That ends up at a pub and by the time I get home I just want to eat everything.
