Lovely pictures ... but they weren't half carrying some poor show ;) Under cooking gear, did I miss mention of stove / fuel, etc?
Holy Smokes! Imagine if that gear was all packed on his bike, it would have been 57lbs
Oddly, I think 56lb is about average at the WRT weigh-in :)

I like the addition of pruning saw to the kit list.

Will there be an opportunity for a camp fire at the winter bivvy? If so, I'll bring my saw too :)

Yeah, but did you notice he was sharing a tent with his mate, which his mate was carrying!

I'm no super light packer but WTF?

I'm even planning on a couple of ciders in the bag for the winter bivi but it still wouldn't be that heavy.

I think that's the same area the article on bike packing in the new Singletrack is from. Oddly, it looks like a different three guys but they made the same choice of MASSIVE rucksacks.
