Hard luck Karl, hope things sort out.

Running the replay, it looks like Liam took a nap near Inchbae Lodge as there's a two hour gap between pings. Josh and Chris passed him then about half an hour later Liam was back riding. They are now either side of Achness Hotel, looked like Josh and Chris stopped there for a bit as the ten mile gap is now only three.

They are certainly shifting, they are about an hour behind Neil Beltchenko's 2017 pace.

Matt Symonds - many, many punctures.
Andy Lawrence - water related stomach issues
Tom Vincent - biomechanical issues
James Craven seems to have doubled back to invermoriston for a stop. Report from dotwatcher said he was having fun with punctures yesterday.

He hasn't told me he's scratching so I'm not changing anything.

I see Liam's not too far off beginning the trip south. That really is some going, well done everyone.

Karl wrote: Sun May 23, 2021 5:55 am As reported I'm out. A very stressful work period and no training isn't a healthy combination. Felt stressed before the event, felt stressed on the event, and still feel stressed now. Think I need to make some drastic changes.

Lars and Steve are doing fantastic. Andy L isn't feeling well so took a night in a hotel to recover, fingers crossed he can get going again.
Sorry to hear it Karl. Glad to see you're actually human afterall. Well done and hopefully a Peaks200 soon to get over it.. :-bd I'm in if you wanted company at the start point...

Looks like Laim and JamesH are just about ready to start making their way back downwards... surely the Niel Beltchenko record must've been passed by now (or is it similar to Mike Halls Tour Divide time)...

His 3 days 10 hrs 22 mins hasn't been beaten, if that's what you mean. It's a different route though, so all a bit academic. Each year is seen as a stand alone really.

Let's see if having a range of gears helps along the lumpy road towards Lochinver. I don't think Drumbeg Stores are open on a Sunday are they?

Grace reckons they are faster than Neil's time. Though as above, different courses.

Looks like Josh and Liam are riding near/next to each other qccording to the update on both spots 6 mins ago.

In other news, Josh always comes across as so humble, soft and slow in his youtube vids. He's obviously made of some proper grit...

Go Josh, Liam, James, Steve waters and everyone else... well done them...

So, as it says on the tin, the whole thing is 550 miles.

Just wondering what are the distances of the three separate loops if done individually?

What's happening to Huw Oliver? His preparation has been extraordinary but he's quite at the back. Or is he waiting for where he excels, on techy terrain?
Amazing Liam on a rigid, but see how fast he is over Fisherfield.

If Liam and Josh keep this pace they may not hit shops open in Ullapool tomorrow morning, last resupply place for them would be Lochinver before entering Fisherfield. In 2019 I was in Ullapoolbefore Tesco openen but there's a shop that opened 1 hour earlier, where I stopped. Neil and Chris in 2017 got there much ahead, where did they stop?
