I have put together a route that covers a lot of the bits on the northern part of this years Barebones route ie the bits that I rode in the dark. Rest assured it contains none of Stu's nasty bits :?
Ian showed an interest in towing me along so thought I would open it up to anyone who fancies joining us. We are going to go ride it on Saturday November 9th.
It's about 60miles with 8500ft of climbing. It's a cruise type pace and I'll more than likely want to take a few pictures on the way but I wasn't planning on much hanging about or stopping for lunch. Just eat on the move.

Meet at the car park at SN 965678 for 9:30am with all faffing to be completed by 10am at latest. :)

I'll probably be on the Puffin, so don't bank on much towingcomposite wrote:Ian showed an interest in towing me along so thought I would open it up to anyone who fancies joining us. We are going to go ride it on Saturday November 9th.

Might be 50/50 for this now. Looking at the weather and other commitments this month, if the forecast is decent the day before, I'm going to recce the Two Ton O' Gravel route. Might still see you on the trail as some of your route overlaps the gravel route. Plan would be to start Friday afternoon and ride through the night to finish Saturday afternoon/evening. I'll keep you posted.

So final call for this as it's tomorrow. I guess either sign up or I'll be going solo and just doing my own time table.

May the bridges you burn light your way

Update from me: the Two Ton ride hasn't happened, as I've got a lurgy :(
Not going to be fit for a 60 mile ride tomorrow sadly, so enjoy it...
