What's your Zwift name.. I'll find you on there... helping me get the aerobic system moving again! I like it (in a very different way to a bike ride) :-bd
Kevin Serginson, but I don't race I'm too slow, just do my own thing for training/exercise until I can get outside. I do keep it going through the year though to avoid the wind and rain up here when it gets bad and some mid week stuff if I can't get out on an evening.

I'm doing the same as you Kevin - keeping me going at present and I don't race, just the off group ride in he most appropriate w/kg group. I'm on a training program which keeps m on the straight and narrow... I'll see if I can find you on there :-bd

Edit - Ahh crap, superbowl on Sunday, that's definitely not going to help.
01/01/21: 72.5kg
-------------
29/01/21: 69.1kg (-1.1kg)
05/02/21: 68.2kg (-0.9kg)
12/02/21: 68.4kg (+0.2kg)

Target: 60kg by 12/06/21.
-------------

So as expected I screwed myself with the superbowl calories. Still, can't be expected to be ultra strict all the time, and I can definitely get it back on track.

My bottomless pit of a son requested 4 crumpets at the weekend - he's only 6 but he managed them all, I was impressed.

We had a friend's kids over a couple of weeks back and they managed to polish an entire tin of chocolate biscuits in half an hour or so.

I was  . Astonished they weren't sick.

On the plus side I’ve cycled more in January than last month and I've increased my FTP to 254 from 239. Back to work Monday, 90Kg goal weight by the end of the year. :-bd
105.7Kg onwards and upwards :-bd

Good stuff, I seem to be struggling this week for some reason. Diet is on point, but it's not doing anything.

May have to make some tweaks.

15/1/2021: 115.5kg

Start 144kg
8/01/21 - 144kg
22/01/21 - 148kg
29/01/21 - 147kg
11/02/21 - 147kg
19/02/21 - 141.5kg

Totally un expected given I started the week with a migraine and I have not cycled a huge amount, hoping I can keep the ball rolling. Good work everyone, nice progress.

5/2/2021 73.7
12/2/2021 72.8
19/2/2021 72.9

I'm not 100% sure what I did differently this week though I probably shouldn't trust MFP's extra calories allowance as much as I do.

19-92-21 - 114.5kg
05-02-21 - 112.5kg
29-01-21 - 112.6kg
22-01-21 - 114.3kg
15-01-21 - 114.2kg
08-01-21 - 114.8kg
01-01-21 - 115.4kg

Boo!

But to be fair I'll take that. I weighed myself after the weekend away and it was a lot more and I've been steadily losing it again since.

Back to it, more exercise, less cheating and I'll get there.....

I don't generally eat back my MFP exercise calories. I certainly wouldn't eat them all back, and at a minimum would take off 100cals per hour (convenient number) for BMR anyway.

I'd have thought despite the doubt over calories expended figures accuracy you could 'safely' eat back 50%

Yeah, this week I was probably closer to using up 100% of my additional calories whereas I'm normally much closer to the 50% mark - having my one beer of the week last night probably didn't help my numbers either

01/01/21: 72.5kg
-------------
05/02/21: 68.2kg (-0.9kg)
12/02/21: 68.4kg (+0.2kg)
19/02/21: 68.0kg (-0.4kg)

Target: 60kg by 12/06/21.
-------------

Back on track, but I've had to be far more strict than I expected to be at this stage. So much so that I even had to force myself to have a protein drink two of the nights this week so as to hit my macros!

Will stick at this intake level for a week to see how things progress. I think it'll probably work fine for the next month without needing further tweaks though.

I only adjust my calories for intense sessions over 1.5 hours... and yeah, the numbers that come from Strava / MFP etc are a joke. They make people's lives way, way harder when it comes to weight loss. For a 2 hour session at my absolute max limit I'd probably allocate about 500kcal more cals, and I'd argue that's borderline.
