Can we just confirm that this will be the last such poll for a generation?

Are you suggesting that regardless of my vote, the government will still find a way to continue to continue concentrating wealth in small section of the population and that the question of our membership of a trading bloc was merely an attempt to distract us and give us the illusion of choice? Or have I taken the metaphor a bit far?Bearbonesnorm wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 10:42 amSorry to disappoint Dave but no matter what you voted, I can't change it.Wow, my vote has never been so significant!

Vote is currently 52/48 - a resounding majority if ever I saw one. The people have spoken! Respect their will! Etc.

No, you're probably right. However, the governments hands are tied and while the will of the populace is very important, in this instance, they'll just have to suck it up and find something more important to concern themselves with. Are you suggesting that regardless of my vote, the government will still find a way to continue to continue concentrating wealth in small section of the population and that the question of our membership of a trading bloc was merely an attempt to distract us and give us the illusion of choice? Hah!
Personally, I think most forums open in new window, because then you can easily go back to where you were. Especially being as this place unfortunately doesn't throw you back to last unread when you open a thread back up (Though please don't take this as a criticism, I am very grateful for this place!)

Not sure which forums don't return you to where you were as it's default browser behaviour, i.e. if you are halfway down a page/thread and you follow a link then going back one page in the history takes you back to that same point.Mythste wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 4:18 pm Hah!

As Cheeky Monkey notes, the icon to the left of the thread title links to the first unread post in a thread. Clicking on the tiny little arrow to the right of the last poster's name will take you to the latest post in the thread.

Re: Poll - Open in new window Yes or No
When conducting a poll, I believe that it should either be compulsory for everyone to vote, or it should be assumed those who don’t vote are happy with the status quo. If only ...
