Fantastic album. Forgotten about it, yet moment it came on remembered most of the lyrics even if they are bonkers the music is brilliant.

I love Fugazi (and Minor Threat). One of the best gigs I’ve ever been to was Fugazi in Wolverhampton’s Wulfrun Hall

Aphex Twin sort of day. I've most of my non-contact time on a Friday so I get to do all my lesson planning - which is normally me in my lab with music playing quietly - but not so much at home:

I've had a couple of jars but this (out of) Focus makes perfect sense. 1973. Astounding. I had a shirt like that. Goes off to dig LP out...

Recently dug out some old stuff. If you appreciate Rage Against the Machine, then you might appreciate these ... you also might not.

Baby Driver - a fantastic film, where the acting is based on the tempo of the film score, from start to finish. Very clever  .

Always loved that Jon Spencer track MuddyPete

Picked up a couple cds (that I had/have on vinyl but no player): Pussy Galore - Sugarshit Sharp (love Yü Gung, original and PH, plus it’s a great EP) and Corpse Love (just so I have Kill Yourself...).

Also been listening to the Be Good Tanyas (primarily for Waitin Around To Die, yup, I’m a real happy chappy right now) which lead to Frazey Ford’s Indian Ocean (featuring the Wille Mitchell ‘Hi’ band used to great effect on the pre Rev Al Green) which has been played so much I’ve also invested in her new one U Kin B The Sun (despite the text, well, txt...).

After Toots died I did have a reggae renaissance inc The Gladiators (love the Trenchtown LP).

I’ve nailed my flamenco colors to the mast before so I’ll just drop these in (I do love a bueno bulerias):

Just listened to the new hidden orchestra album while chock full of opiates (recovering from a general anasthetic, hernia all is well). That may have affected my appreciation a bit but it was bloody enjoyable

Yeah, the SoundCloud dump was so massive it was bound to be variable.

SAW vol.1 is still a favourite after about 25 years.

I liked The first track, reminded me of this a bit: https://youtu.be/ys0HyevZpQg

Not sure about the rest but will give it a proper listen some time.

This might be of interest, Delia Derbyshire:

I stumbled upon Caterina Barbieri while listening to someone else on Bandcamp and following a random link. It was the last track on Patterns of Consciousness that blew my mind. I've not heard of Manuel Göttsching before, after googling him I'm not sure why, so that's another rabbit hole to explore. 👍
