A DIY cappuccino using my Aeropress and the milk frother device that Val gave me for Christmas, it was pretty damned good if I do say so myself.

Enjoying this. The Islay barrel isn't overpowering things in terms of taste, but adds a nice dryness to things. Drinks easier than you'd expect from 750ml of 8.5%.

Anchor Christmas Ale from 2016. I have 2017, 18, and 19 to get through too. I didn't manage to get this year's though.
Got new stout glasses for Christmas so have something nice to drink it out of too.

Salted Caramel Lucaria whilst playing "Virulence: An Infectious Card Game" with family Perrin - the ultimate in bad taste games this year. My excuse is I bought it as a crimbo prezzie for daughter Perrin who's a geneticist and it improves her skills.....

I have to confess that I'm not 100% convinced this is a sensible choice, but hey, it's Cheery Friday so here goes....

Left over from Christmas, didn't have the courage at the time, now approached with some considerable trepidation...

I'm on the Imperial Stout as well but a mere 7.5%abv from the cauldron of artisan brewing, Steam Brew of Mannheim but here in the land of Estrella, it's a welcome change.

Well much as I'm happy to don the Crown Of Machismo temporarily, I have to say that the downside is I now can't see properly and my legs are all wobbly. Maybe those are benefits.

Re: What are you drinking now?
I stocked up on the range of "craft" beers from Steam Brew as they were being sold by Lidl at €1 for a 500ml can pre Christmas. We were entertaining our Swiss, Dutch and Italian neighbours for Christmas lunch so I thought we'd make quite a dent in it but 2 were tea total and the others stuck to Cava so I've got the dirty job of demolishing another 12 cans of stout, 8 cans of 7.8% IPA, and various Red and Wheat beers which are equally potent. At this rate I'll still be at it by Easter, hic.

Re: What are you drinking now?
A friend's just given me the remains (a third maybe) of a 5l mini keg of chocolate stout at 10%, so a couple of glasses of that. It's a bit thin and acidic for my liking really (and his), but y'know, free beer's free beer.

This evening however, I'm rather enjoying a selection of brews from 'Straya, courtesy of Beer52.
