Photo comp We have a Winner!

Post by Bearbonesnorm »

Okay - firstly, well done to all those who submitted a picture. There's some superb shots and not a bad one amongst them.

You can now vote for your favourite pic. One vote per person but you can change your mind. Voting will close on end of play NYE and the winner will get something nice for their efforts ... seems fair eh. Names are listed in picture order.

So many great photos. So many. Allen's pic wading through the stream would have got my vote if it was a normal year, but I couldn't go past RIP in his garden as it just says 2020. Super pic Reg

Is your picture not up for voting Stu?
Not because I'm voting for it, I've already voted.

Ladies and gentlemen, I'm happy to confirm that we have a winner for last year's (doesn't that sound odd) photo comp. It was a bit of a runaway result but every picture was worthy of a prize (no you can't have one). Congratulations Reg, something 'nice' winging its way in the post.

Well done everyone :-bd

X_X  :YMHUG:

Aww thanks folks. Loads of brilliant photos, and, more importantly, stories behind them, so I'm honoured. I always get a bit embarrassed on the rare occasions when I win something - perfectly happy to create a bit of a scene or a happening or make a tit of meself, but go all shy when the spotlight's shining. Make what you will of that dichotomy :???: .

Thank you! :X

I can understand that.

I distinctly remember the last thing I won, it was for a presentation* I gave on politics.

Age 8, I won a Mars bar. Don’t actually remember what it was about, I took the piss out of Thatcher somehow.

Cheers 'Monster - noted in my 2021 diary  .

Congrats on the Mars Bar. Still got it as a trophy? I've bored you before about my bingo win - can't have been much older than 8 myself. Family hols on IoW. Wandered away one day and ended up in what turned out to be the bingo hall on I think Shanklin pier (?). Sat down. Someone must've shown me what to do 'cos I came out five minutes later with some cufflinks in a box! Got told off for wandering off  . Still got them too.

Well done Reg.

For the record, I didn't vote for you because I knew you'd win anyway. Democracy, eh
