Moving to soton for a new job, any bears in the area?

Post by Asposium »

Have a new job in Southampton starting 1st December.
Going to initially rent.
Are there any bears local?
Would be good to have like minded nutters in a new area.

You can always wave to Sean across The Solent :-bd
We go out into the hills to lose ourselves, not to get lost. You are only lost if you need to be somewhere else and if you really need to be somewhere else then you're probably in the wrong place to begin with.

Hi I’m in Hedge End just on the outskirts. Mainly ride New Forest and Meon Valley.

I’m in Winchester, lived in Soton for years.
Keen for rides!

I'll be up for coming over for bivis, obviously once we're alllowed. Moff is local to Southampton as well. Between us we've got 2 gears, one each, but don't hold that against us

It's also not far to the south downs from Southampton and there's a few active further east along the sdw.

As Sean has said I'm local (Eastleigh) mostly trundling the hinterlands between Soton and Winch at the mo.
Happy to meet up for a pedal if you wish/impart any knowledge I may have.

Looks like there could be a BB South Central to arrange?

- Sean, mostly multispeeding it at the mo, gimpy ankle is liking the squish of the full suss!

I've done a lot of riding on my 1x11 Spearfish recently, but we should keep these things quiet or risk being ostracised at ssuk next year

A bit further away, I'm in North Dorset, but I tend to ride east into the New Forest quite often as its way flatter and significantly less claggy than my other options.

I've been riding on my own so much this year I've almost forgotten what group rides are like. I might even resurrect the SS Karate Monkey if there's some type 2 group Winter fun being planned (that's if the kids and work let me have a day off  ).
