Do you want someone each to do different grid refs or the same grid refs to ride together please?
Same grid refs for us both please :-bd

Most Northern Glasgow
Most Southern Brixham

2 entries from Scotland and 2 from Wales.
Hold on... aren't you being very Easterly-Southernist. How could you, would've expected alot better from this forum...

Sorry... that's just a very poor joke and it did go on but I deleted it. Hopefully Jon will include the most Easterly (Hull I'd say?) Westerly (Liverpudlians?) entrants...

Sorry if these are dumb questions.
What sort of maximum radius from home should the Grid Points be at?
Is the intention to visit them all all in one ride?
Maximum and minimum overall distance to complete?

There's no such thing as a dumb question.

We (Reg and I) are still chatting about it.

We will work out some sort of question to send to each other by private messenger through the forum.

Something like - PLEASE DON'T QUOTE THIS - and please add to it here.

Hi Reg (for example) John here your Virtual Winter Event Partner.

Please can you let me have your post code or Houses Grid Ref or What3Words of your house

Please can you tell me who far away from your home that you would like to travel for me to give you my 10 Grid Refs?

Oh and for a bit of spice I'll be adding 2 more Grid Refs, one for the highest point in your area which I think that you are able to ride to and another to the lowest point.

Thanks John

woodsmith wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2020 11:11 pm Is the intention to visit them all all in one ride?
You can ride all 12 Grid Refs in one day or over the 2 days or none of them over the 2 days, there are no rules - just like a normal a Winter Event
woodsmith wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2020 11:11 pm Maximum and minimum overall distance to complete?
You can ride 1 mile or 200 miles - just like a normal a Winter Event too.

Thanks for the clarification John. As a relative newbie here I was feeling a little out of the loop.

It's no problems at all
For the record in a normal year the BB200 - you follow a line on a GPS for 200km or 300km (BB300) without deviation, unless you rejoin the route at the same point.
WRT - 1st May Bank Holiday - Meet up, talk bikes, meet mates, hope to win a prize in the raffle. go for a 3 day and 2 night ride on a route of your own choice around an area where there are some Grid Ref sprinkled over a map. The return to the start and eat cake.
Hell one year we rode in the completely different direction away from every Grid Refs, there are no rules and no 1st, 2nd or 3rd place, we are all winners
The Winter Event - As above but no raffle, but with gifts and over 2 days and one night out on the 2nd Weekend in January

That'd be pretty much all of 2020.

Sorry there's no freebies in these belt-tightened times btw, however given how important cake is to the proceedings maybe paired riders could bake a cake or make some biccies and post them to each other? Hmm, trouble is for maximum realism it would probably have to be lemon drizzle, but it seems highly unlikely that Dee would make the Top Secret Recipe for DFLDC (Dee's Famous Lemon Drizzle Cake) available to all and sundry. Bit more thought needed on this one perhaps.

This is probably the most stupid thing I've done all day and I've been up a while and I realise I'll most likely regret it but put me down please.

You may as well, it's a chance to take part rather than organise as per a normal year.

You just need to hope that you don't get paired up with a veteran of the 2014 BB200 or who knows what tussock ridden trackless bog will contain your references
