Realistically I need to do it earlier rather than later as I have a rum event in the middle of the month which probably wont do much for my fitness / weight!

That’s my first time BB200 hat in the ring too.
I’m aiming for the 10/11 weekend.

I am aiming for the first decent day in October, perhaps even 1st with the exception of weekends.
Riding distance over the last few weeks has been low mind, so I need to up things after this weekend.

Maybe get so hikeabike practice as well Matt. Actual riding distance may only be 100km or so😁😂

Same. Weekend days are irrelevant; weather forecast is the defining factor.

Yes, good point. I better add a pair of toe studs on the shoes
Knowing it might be coming down south towards me, I will hopefully have a fair idea of what is actually rideable before hand.

I am expecting Drygarn Fawr, Cerrig Llwyd y Rhestr or another similar desert crossing.

I really hope not. I'm OK riding but my hip will only withstand so much pushing before I'd need to give up.

I can manage a few hours of it, just not half a day!

On some of the BB200s you'd be lucky to see more than one!

(I did pop off route for a bit of dutch courage on one BB200 after breaking a rib)
