Virtual HT550

Post by fatbikephil »

Well since as we aren't doing it today and the weather is foul I thought I'd do an imaginary one....
Target time sub 3 days!!
Day 1
Image
The start....Seems to be a bunch of other people doing it too. Soon burn them off!
Image
Correct! See ya later suckers!
Image
First dodgy river crossing, time to dry me feet. Oops on the wrong route!
Image
Thats better, first dodgy river crossing = no probs
Image
Sun shine! Ben Alder approaching
Image
The end of the road....
Image
Fine view, fine trail
Image
Quick diversion to the old route for another nice view
Image
Snaw!
Image
Quick snack for lunch
Image
Spooky ruin
Image
The view north, we'll be up there in a bit.
Image
Afternoon sun
Image
Murky and boggy, just how we like it
Image
Luxury digs, some other bugger seems to have beaten me to it though!

2015 Group start. I sensibly order a vege pizza as I figure it will be the best thing to scoff after 11 hours on the bike. Alan G who is vege anyway takes one look and orders the same. A certain David Barter orders the seafood pizza and instantly regrets it when it arrives, eats it then spends the next day regretting it further..... Been my goto ever since. Irn Bru will drag you back from the worst low you can possibly imagine.....
