Never my intention at all. I have the upmost respect, let's consider the idea scrapped.

Crikey, they're tough buggers in the SAS, I doubt they'd give a flying fig tree about that T design

I am chuckling at the idea of various shapes and sizes of your average bike-packer wearing said design and the idea that many of them care to pretend to be forces though. From the scrawny racing snakes to the clydesdales amongst us all mincing about

Hey ho, funny what inadvertently presses buttons sometimes

I've no idea what A and B stand for but D&G appears to be a make of sunglasses.

That's a shame imho but fair enough if it upsets people.
Wonder if I should stop wearing my Tour de Yorkshire jersey? I've never actually ridden the Tour de Yorkshire and I'd hate to offend any of the pros who may think I'm a wannabe. I'm being facetious obviously........😝

Not all. I know a current and an ex and when shown they both "LOL"'d. Admittedly they are quite, er, robust. Reckon they'd get on with Stu quite well actually.

FWIW, I have no issue with a bit of irreverence. I just didn't like the design

We had these jerseys/gilets done a few years ago

I'll be honest - I declined to take it with me when I did my LEJOG with a group for Marie Curie - the cancer charity.

The principle was sound and amusing but you would probably have to point out the humour to most folk who would just see the motif and not read the wording.

Perhaps go with a similar theme - What about the Space Corps? (as in open space,) you could have a groovy motif with suitable slogan. After all, one or two of us are not of this planet

Think along the lines of "To boldly go where no man has gone before" etc.

These tee shirts proved popular on last years Tour Divide, some cheap `civvy` clothes for the racers who scratched!

I'm likely to go for something like that, conceptually anyway.

As another one who is ex-army, at least this was humorous, i mistakenly joined a FB Group called Wild Camping UK, blimey that was Walter Mitty central as they all got themselves into a lather over their 4kg doss bags and "tactical" torches producing dull Youtube vids, usually accompanied with a love of knives and setting fire to stuff, whilst dressed in some 30 year old german/dutch/US gear (never British gear some reason...)

On a more Serious note a good skydiving friend was ex SAS, Nish did some serious sh!t in defence of our country. I’m quite sure he’d not been offended if he was still here, unfortunately he fell victim to the ‘regiment disease’

The book ‘Freefall’ by Tom Read documented his journey, the final conclusion happened a while after publication, when we heard the news that someone had jumped from an airplane without a parachute on route from Spain we knew it was Nish.
The Cessna they were flying in was icing badly and his girlfriend decided to put it down at Brize Norton rather than our DZ at Hinton.
His last words before they approached BN were “they can’t keep me in prison forever” He then opened the door and found peace.

The sun ‘Newspaper’ printed a picture of his body in the field with the headline ‘NUTTER JUMPS FROM PLANE WITHOUT PARACHUTE!’

500+ people attended his funeral, none of them would have been offended but out of respect I wouldn’t.

I used to maintain Nish's Cessna. A nicer guy you couldn't wish to meet.
