SPAR at Llanwrtyd Wells closed

Just a heads up for anyone who might be heading in that area and hoping to resupply at the SPAR in Llanwrtyd Wells.

I got there about 6pm Saturday evening hoping to buy dinner and breakfast to cook at Tycornel, to find it surrounded by fences and closed up. The petrol station was closed as well and according to the locals is not regularly open either. I ended up eating at the pub and taking cold pizza with me to the hostel.

Turns out some local lads stuck a car into the building in January and it now has a massive crack down the side. Looks like they might knock it down before it falls down.

Argh, what a shame. The fella running it seemed a decent chap when we depended on it for two very wet and horrible weekends in October. Hope he's ok. Both in the physical and business sense....
