I generally use my Touch Colin and it is capable of capturing a reasonable photo but I wondered whether a refurb phone would be a cheaper and better (with regard to camera) option than replacing like for like.If you're not after a phone then you'll find that many manufacturers make a device with no phone but that still takes photographs. Unconstrained by other design criteria they can also fit them with decent lenses.

iPhone SE here.
Really like it because it’s small and iPhones photo editing to crop, change exposure, contrast etc is really quick to use. I no longer carry a digi cam because the phones so good. iPhone no longer provide updates for the SE, but at the end of the day I don’t expect jpgs to become an obsolete image format. Might mean picking one up secondhand will be easy and cheap.

Stu, saw this on Hotukdeals. Reading a few of the comments it seems that the batteries on pixel 2s aren't in great shape any more.Bearbonesnorm wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 8:18 pm For those in the know because never having had a phone, I know nowt - if I wanted something to take pictures with would a refurb pixel 2 for around £110 be a worthwhile purchase? Really not bothered about the phone side of things.

Might be better off with a new budget phone. I realise it is twice the price but somewhere was doing brand new pixel 3a's for £260.
