I’m not worried enough by coronavirus (not worried at all, actually) to start taking extra precautions. Reasons? I’m already past the “span of a man” at three score years and eleven, so wouldn't be losing all that much if I were to peg it. And, there are a lot worse things to die of (thinking cancer or MS, or any number of horrible drawn-out ways to die) than a relatively quick one like flu - losing my marbles and ending up in nappies in a care home like my pore 'ole mum, for one. Anyway, some thousands of people die of ordinary seasonal flu every year. I might be one of them

There’s a polish saying that roughly translates as “If you were born to be hanged, then you won't drown”. But that's just me. If I was young, with family & kids depending on my life, it would of course be a different matter.

For now, so far, so good eh!

I've ordered my mini grappling hook and am now thinking of ways to use it - best idea so far is to swing it about my head in the hope of fending off dribby, snotty folk :-bd

whilst there is a risk there is also a need for 24 hour a day sensationalist media to have a story for few weeks
For example 5 live does a phone from 9-10 [ I switch it off] and this week its been on the virus each day.
If/when it becomes a pandemic and dangerous I will give it some thought till then no.

I did my first panic buy last night tbf. £96 of tins, cat food, bog roll etc. Probably do another run tomorrow and that should do it. Aiming to have about 10 weeks worth of food in the house.

When supply chains have broken down in a few weeks any Boners are welcome to drop me a pm and ride round to mine for half a tin of spaghetti hoops.

Oh, and Fray Bentos chicken????? Are they seriously still in business?! I remember when (*) the height of sophistication was an FB chicken and mushroom pie. Maybe it still is where Andy lives  .

That's quite an eclectic list there actually. I'm quite taken with the deodorant purchase. Mmmm, got to smell nice as I set fire to the petrol-filled moat  .

The cat is going to catch food for us both if my own stocks eventually run out Reg,

And I've got a feeling that Fray B's are a clear indicator of panic buying so I'm only going to get one or two at once, lest anyone becomes suspicious.

Contemplating further, my post of Feb 14th re prepping and viruses was obviously a sight more prescient than I thought at the time. We've changed BDS's forum name to HOTT so I think I'm next with 'Nostradamus'....

Thanks btw for getting your wifes input on here. Who'd have thought Bearbones forum has (almost) direct access to The WHO
Great organisation The Who, never the same without the Ox and Keith

If I were you  I’d predict rain, with your history it would almost certainly be correct.
