Buying from the EU now we are 'out'

Post by rufus748 »

Looking to buy from Cumulus however I cant work out how we now stand on any possible import duty etc as we don't have a trade deal.

Anybody any wiser?

Nothing will change whilst we're in the 'transitional period' until the 31st December 2020.

What'll happen after then, heaven knows and that's what's up for negotiation.

1st July is transition extension request deadline. It'll then get kicked down the road for another two years.

I'm thinking it will end up like buying stuff from outside Europe i.e. the courier firms will offer an all taxes paid type deal. I hope so as getting telemark skiing stuff from this country is nigh on impossible.....

Thanks, I'll probably go with Rock and Run with the discount code. Not quite as cheap as direct but offers easier warranty and returns of necessary

@htrider, have you tried Cairngormmountainsports, or Braemarmountainsports if your on the east side?
They have several telemarking staff and sell lots of bindings and boots etc.

If you are in no rush, it's worth a shot of logging into Rock and Runs website, putting what you want in your basket without logging out.

3 or 4 days later they may send you an email reminding you of your full basket, if no extra discount code comes on that email wait another few days to see if one arrives after that.

Then try and use the 2 discount codes of message them if they don't work to get them both knocked off.

It's worked a few times with me from different on line stores
