BB 200 ... Badge of honour.

Post by Bearbonesnorm »

Anyone completing the BB 200 will receive something in recognition of their efforts ... here's how it works. The image below (which doesn't do them justice) shows 3 different coloured BB 200 badges, everyone who completes will recieve a badge regardless of their time, that badge will be a green badge.

If you manage to complete the course in a time of less than 28 hours then your badge will be a blue one (not to be confused with a disabled badge).

If you're really on top of your game and complete the course in less than 24 hours then you will be elevated to hero status and your badge will be a black one ... we're not expecting to give too many of these out.

The only way to ever get a badge is to take part in the BB 200 and COMPLETE it ... bail out for whatever reason and there's no badge, you'll have to try again. I'm hoping that people will actually be proud to own / wear one of these things ... at the end of the day it's only a badge but what it represents is something bigger, after all, you could argue that a green beret is just a hat! ;)

That's right, if it was a race then your 'standing' could be altered by other people. It's an ITT, what anyone else does has no effect on what you do ;)

Have you considered option 3, Matt?
Drop in Hafren Forest, zip down to the car park and back along the road to Pennant. You'd be back by lunchtime on Saturday no problem :)

If Ians option 3 seems a bit much then there's always a lap of the forest. We can call it 'Bear Bones lite'.

Into the forest, first left, second left and keep pedaling ... about 3k all told but a couple of climbs mind ;)
