Whereas I’ve used that pump for about 18months and is my pump of choice on family rides where we have mixed valve requirements. Don’t use the bracket but it does slot into the combined pump bottle cage on my decathlon bike and hasn’t fallen out on some mild to reasonable bumpy stuff.

If, like me, you are a fan of Camelbak Podium bottles, because you can just point and squirt (ooerr!), rather than struggle to open the cap with your teeth, then you could buy one of these...

https://www.halfords.com/cycling/bike-a ... moke-710ml

...or, for a pound less, you could get an extra 40ml of capacity, and save a few quid...

One of these...
https://www.halfords.com/cycling/bike-a ... -cap-black
...and one of these...
https://www.halfords.com/cycling/bike-a ... ttle-750ml

...or, for a little bit extra (and if your local branch still has them), swap the last item for one of these...

Have the threads changed on the newer Camelbak Podium bottles / lids then?

I love 'em, and have half a dozen of the older designs, but the lids threads on the other bottles I have (Specialized, SIS, Elite etc) are narrower so I can't use the Podium lids on bigger bottles.

I checked my older camelback podium (the ones with 4 spiral type things towards centre - for grip I assume) with the caps from the newer (2018) podium. Fit like a glove so, answer would be no they've not changed and still the same(but don't sue me :-bd).

Older podium lids fit the high 5 bottles just fine.
Was pleasantly surprised to see that the lids linked to above still fit, and are of a new design that looks like they'll be easier to clean

Not a direct bargain. But I've just sent off first letter to the Parking Charge notice people (first letter of 3 and tried and tested and worked last 2 times) to save me the rediculous £70 charge for parking in a staff carpark when I went at last minute when a ward was absolutely desperate for help. Had I paid the charge it means (after fuel costs and cos the shift was so short, I'd be paying for the privelege of going to helpout).

That £70 will go to buying something (no doubt) bike related. Not sure if anyone remembers a forum called 'GetoutofDebtfree' but thats where the letters are originally from (before they got sold out somehow to the people that were obviously not having their coffers myltiply properly)...

Bit of a touchy subject (and my post might 'selfDestruct' at some point via myself) so won't make a big deal of it but if anyone ever got in that predicament and couldnt afford to 'cough up'.... feel free to PM me...

There's a few reviews out there on Youtube. Some make it look better than others - my favourite is where the bloke tries to fend off a swimming dog who's quite intent on climbing aboard :-bd

Thanks Stu, :-bd just ordered one, probably not going to use it for bikepackrafting but we'll see how I get on once it arrives. Got a trip to Croatia in the autumn so might be used for a bit of coastal exploring and coasteering. Fun times ahead methinks.
Sometimes carrying a seventeen foot sea kayak around everywhere just isn't pactical so this looks like a useful addition to the toybox.

BTR Seatpack for £4.99

Only 0.6L but might do for someone. I have a bar bag and rack bag from them and the quality is great for the money.

cheers for that perfect for the tubes and l tools to just keep them on the road bike - I prefer to be able to just pick up a bike and go ride than wander round stuffing pockets with tools and things

Crazily cheap answer handlebars on chain reaction at the moment. Sadly only in the normal sweep, not the 20°

Not everyone's cup of tea and not particularly lightweight for those of a racing-snake-disposition.
