Couple of tubs of Arseoles bum cream or whatever it's called, best price from W1ggle. Using Udderly (cheaper) at moment so thought I'd do a "taste(*) test" and see which one 8 out of 10 cats prefer.

Still no flippin' RSF book though!

(*) possibly the wrong test

New flat pedals for the mountain bike since I'm not enjoying technical terrain while clipped in.

I was fella and yes I am  The fact that I still wanted one after 12 months, made me realise that I really did want one. This is a smaller / lighter model than the one I tested. I reckon it should be ideal for the type of stuff I'm hoping to do.

Huh, mine arrived today too. After almost exactly 12 months of waiting to see if I really did want one.

If had more than trolley filled canals or was able to get out for a week at a time so I could bike/raft I'd love one as I do miss paddling

If you’re able to make a (long) weekend to Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 give me and Scotroutes a shout. Hire a raft from Backcountry in Aviemore. I’m sure there’s a few patches of water up here to paddle in.

I'm the worlds worst shopper. It's prevaricate, prevaricate, prevaricate, splurge (I think it's an anxiety thing)

So, todays haul is;

An Exped Synmat HL to replace my leaky one.
2 pairs of Defeet Woolie Boolie socks. My Endura Baa Baa's are getting thin and I do like warm feet, especially when bivvying.
A mech hanger for my Orbea Occam. It's a chunky think and I reckon it would be difficult to break one, but...
Ergon GE1 grips. I've been getting hand pains with non-Jones/non-road bars but experimented with these in preference to splurging n expensive swept bars. Seems to have worked, so this is a second set for my second MTB.
A replacement for the Maxle on my Rebas, after it started to suffer the bent/broken edge issue. I've gone for a Brand-X replacement, hoping it'll last longer.
Grangers wash-and-proof to see if I can restore my old Gore Active jacket.

And brought me some devices to attach guy lines to decking, all the way from China. They caught my eye as I remember a thread about this issue from some time back?

I don't have any decking or indeed any need to pitch a tent on some if I did but I saw them on aliexpress and thought they look cool  At £2.29 for 8 I'm sure I'll think of a way they'll come in useful.

The previous two posts amused me a lot.

4 Pairs of shorts for me to choose 1 pair from, and some new pedals.

Set of Fulcrum Racing 77 wheels for my Singular Kite. A bargain at £79 in the CRC sale.

Image

As you can see I had my monies worth out of the old Fulcrum wheels I had on the Kite.

Book - thank you RSF  . Plus the various early-bird add-ons. Plus Toy Dolls "Orcastrated" CD (yes I've stopped now). Just got to leave myself a reminder that a book by another cyclist in a similar vein might be out in time for Crimbo...

And delivered a pair of Vitoria mezcal’s, the posh ones with Graphene. Fitting was interesting, the rear needed new tape and I had a merry time removing the gorilla tape residue. The front needed the fire extinguisher (DIY mega airshot) and resulted in kitchen covered in jizz. My fault as I was lazy and only pumped it up to 75psi, with 100 it went up no drama :-bd

He also delivered a work of art in the form of a SRAM Eagle XX1 derailleur, I’ll be getting the cassette next month but I may run it with my 12speed microshift barend, obviously in friction mode. 11 speed for now, it can’t shift any worse than the current setup.
We’re all individuals, except me.

I woke up this morning but I’m still in the dark

A set of Sram XX1 cranks for the Epic. They're quite lovely! Just need a new BB tool and they'll be fitted at the weekend.
