Modifying an Army Bivi Bag

Post by jBay »

Has anyone added a side zip, hoop or hood?
Or even added an extra strip of material to increase the volume to get a mat inside?

Looking for ideas or examples, thanks

Added more to get the mat inside?!

Mine is huge, I could have a party in there. OK, slight exaggeration, I can get me, mat and bag inside with loads of room to spare. I'm 6'3 with a large mat and a long bag/quilt

I'm the same, I would rather take a bit out of mine, it's brilliant and bombproof, but flippin eck, I reckon at a squeeze I could get my bike in as well!

Phase 1
draw cord replaced with shock cord
Adjust with cord locks in three places - original and both shoulder .
So it can be tight round you, but the hood remains lose like a flap.
