Enforced by the bad weather two weeks ago Reg  Quite a few of the county showgrounds have examples of the different walling styles as well.

I don't think we've the monopoly on eccentric museums, there's the Penis museum in Reykjavik for example.

Amazing! I would expect the touch-and-feel experience section is entertaining..

Ahh if only Lockheed made bicycle callipers.
TBH making calliper adaptors on a mill is a PIA as by the time you've set it all up with various bed attachments to get the nice curves I reckon your as well doing it your way - drill holes in plate, saw bits off, file, polish. Simple!

PS - XS 650 or Suzuk GS.... hmmm not sure

Wish the stone i got dumped with when repairing wall gaps was shaped like that ! i always seem to get the most akward shaped lumps known to mankind,

Nice job tho having done a few wall gaps at the inlaws at Wasdale i can appreciate the effort that goes into that

That's nice but...them spokes!!!!

Bearbonesnorm wrote:Ooh, it even fits. I did have to make a 4mm spacer to pull the disc out in order that the wider than standard caliper clears the spokes but that's not important is it? What's important is, there's much more satisfaction in doing things this way than there ever could be in simply buying something. I know it isn't always possible but when it is, we should embrace the opportunity.

It's a rustoration rather than a restoration Shawn. Money isn't there for new rims / spokes but they are sound - 'tis really a matter of making sure the whole thing is mechanically sound and 100% reliable rather than pretty.

Quick wipe with an oily rag and they'll be fine. :-bd
