Large capacity powerbank.
I'm looking for a large capacity powerbank for Dee to take on her travels - ideally over 20000mah. I'd have bought a Zendure as I like the small A2 that I have but the larger ones are a bit expensve, so is there anything better than Anker for the money? It'll be used for phone charging duties if that makes any difference.

I have this one, like me it's a chunky beast, but has worked flawlessly:

I've a RavPower powerbank with something like that capacity. Works fine. TBH I'd just look on Amazon or wherever and choose one to your budget.

I've got a couple of veho pebbles but they are only 10000 each the boy normally gets 6 iPhone charges out of one or 4 phone charges and a couple of I pad charges ,that's from when hearing the things down to about 20% battery

Would 2 x 10000 potentially be better in terms of redundancy? Not sure how much additional weight this would be.

Re: Large capacity powerbank.
Stu... I've been researching PBs for the past few years and tried to get away from Anker by getting one of the other highly rated beasts. Imuto and Ravpower I took a chance on but both just were not up to the job... Heavy as well as not holding the capacity the figures and reviews suggested...
Then trying to chase up warranty on a PB is a pain (especially when you think its 40 percent in your head and the other ones might come with same problem) as for starters, most companies just don't make it easy to contact...
Anker on the othrr hand (I started with that beast linked by Scud above and when I thought - was in my head I think - it wasn't performing properly they just sent me a new one) has been faultless and my current one is tiny but charges my phone (galaxy S8 with 3000mah batt) at least 2.8 times...
If I was buying (and I will be soon enough if planning for the Dales Divide next year GodWilling) it would be 2 of my current ones which turn out lighter but same output as that Anker linked aforementioned...

That be mine Stu and it really is tiny and am pretty sure someone like Scattamah would be satisfied with its weight (sub 150g)

That's the one my missus uses all the time - as Scud says it's a bit of a brick but it's worked flawlessly for a couple of years now.Scud wrote:I have this one, like me it's a chunky beast, but has worked flawlessly:

These seem a good balance of price, capacity, and weight.
USB-C or USB mini input
I bought USB-C input as cheaper
Not power delivery, so no faster to charge

Re: Large capacity powerbank.
Having done a shitload of testing, I can't recommend any of the 20,000s. Their capacity to weight ratio was awful.
I'd recommend taking two of the basic Anker 10,000 mah batteries as they came out closest to their claimed actual capacity (and were light).
Plus, as already mentioned... you've got a backup if one fails.

Re: Large capacity powerbank.
Weight edit to my post above... actually 186g but really is tiny for how many charges it gives... lovelt bit of kit and agree wholeheartedly with above commenr...

I have one of these: https://www.nitecore.co.uk/Shop/Product ... arger.html
Then take as few or as many 18650 cells to suit of whatever capacity.
Depending on what particular feature you're mostly after, it could be an option to consider.

Make sure you carry them in a case if you do... they're nasty when damaged!

Re: Large capacity powerbank.
Thanks all - as much as I see the benefit in carrying 2 smaller packs, someone else won't
I'll likely wire in a usb charging port to her motorbike so she has the option of putting some life back into the battery pack when she's riding. Weight isn't really an issue but simplicity is, so even though the efficiency may be lower, a big single Anker looks like the best compromise.

Re: Large capacity powerbank.
Have two of these.
Big and large
Has dual charging ports, so even though massive will charge in a quick time (well, quick for the capacity)
