yes its easy to see how and why they do it, but ,for the longevity/profitability of niche products, its not good.
Whatever band waggon comes along next those sort of shops will jump on that trend [ not a dig just a comment on their business model]and we will be left with no one still in business.

That said I will be surprised if i dont buy something from them at those prices

It's the Love Mud 'Confucius' bar with a different sticker on it.

I suppose this is the one that'll cause the proper upset. I hadn't realised that they'd got two 'loop' bars - the ugly towel rail riser bar with added 'bit' above and then this other one.

Looks like there's two more to come.

Mikey and Geoff we've seen but there's Mike and Brian listed on the site that I've yet to see the shape of.

Ive a pair of the Alpkit Fu-man-chu bars , direct copy of the jones bars , had them a few years now and love them , They were sold to me direct after a email to alpkit , no mention of them on the website after the lawsuit threat ! ... Just looks like brant just gone back to on-one and ordered more again with a different name on, only cheaper

Looks like these bars have been picked up by Cinelli too. Well they look basically the same though maybe not quite as wide as the Jeff or Geoffs.

I don't have a JL bar here at the moment so cant check for myself but isn't the welding on these newer versions much larger than the original?
Looks better than rabbit substandard but somehow the welds just look bigger than I remember.

I heard Brant do a 20 minute talk about bike design. It was actually quite funny.

But I do remember one slide which was a page from very old handlebar catalogue. He said something along the lines of ‘and this is what I pick from and then claim it’s a new and shiny idea’

At least he was honest!

then he went back on social media to spin and BS about the bespoke designed products to his customers.

See also "his trousers" that someone else made etc.

More interestingly, that bike is "assembled with 1X transmission (Front derailleur free) to emphasize the essentiality and freshness".

I can't say I was aware bikes had a best before date such that freshness was a selling point

I asked him on STW why go with 45deg and not some other angle. His answer? "Factory tooling dictated that angle on this batch." Hmm, so if they were "designed" by him/On-One why accept someone else's tooling? Most tube bending machines or setups are adjustable within a few minutes, certainly for smaller scale stuff.
