Re: Rtts 2019
Top man ,last year's was one of my favourite weekends out , especially with the constant abuse I got off Burty with me bringing up the rear
Re: Rtts 2019
I shall book the same weather in as well
Re: Rtts 2019
Need to find some long socks, tuck trousers into socks, and spray the entire lot with insecticide.

Re: Rtts 2019
Good man Burty ,think I'd like to book a slight wind in as well though ,and maybe I can get to the pub on time this year as my Australian sat Nov has deserted me
Dave I don't think any prep will stop you attracting the little buggers ,but please come along as it keeps them off me

Re: Rtts 2019
Run to the sun ... not a clique, everyone was invited to come last year. Set off late on the evening of the summer solstice (or the nearest Fri to) - aim to ride through the night and arrive at the seaside 'around' dawn. Snooze / eat / nob about for a few hours then turn tail with a night out on the way.

Was gonna say same thing but you beat me to it
Re: Rtts 2019
Is the aim for the Friday of the solstice?
If so, will put in my calendar so don’t double book myself.

That the one that was in the adventure show? Looked a fun set up
Me and my friend were planning a much more northerly one, but all bets are off now with my current heart issue.

Re: Rtts 2019
brilliant ride, down to the route to be honest what a great mix of terrain up and down, more of the same this year

I know had to hold it in till we got back to the pub made me even slower
Re: Rtts 2019
There used to be an all night ride round Edinburgh on the Solstice many years ago.
Do they still do that?

Re: Rtts 2019
Planning to do that one again as I did it a few years back and it was a nice atmosphere (helped by good weather). Is a nice run for the old road bike.
