E-Bike Loan

Post by Blair512 »

Apparently you can get a 4 year interest free loan on E-Bikes funded by the Scottish government. Maybe not many e-bikers on here but possibly useful for not so fit spouses, commuters etc.

Good to know :-bd

My wife sometimes has to look to get funding for adapted bikes for her clients so I'll pass it on.

I worry that if I get an e-bike, all my other bikes will get punted and I'll never look at another bike again (as well as ditching bikepacking....)

They are a good training aid tho, at the weekend my pal was idly cruising up a hill chatting about the scenery whilst I was deep into the overdraft zone, spitting snot and blood trying too (and ultimately failing) hang on to her wheel....

Well I have seen electric motor bikes, so its not impossible.

A guy turned up up here who'd done the length of the UK on one. But it took him a while!

I think his could only do 80 mile per charge loaded up and then took a few hours to charge. He obviously enjoyed his trip as it meant he got lots of stops and conversations along the way. Looked like a pretty cool enduro type bike.

We go out into the hills to lose ourselves, not to get lost. You are only lost if you need to be somewhere else and if you really need to be somewhere else then you're probably in the wrong place to begin with.
