Wtd: V brakes and flat bar levers

Post by Dr Nick »

I'm rebuilding an old alloy framed Dahon Vitesse 7 speed folder, that I rescued from someone about to dump it at the local tip, to be the canal boat bike Did I mention we've bought a canal boat?! :-bd There is talk of paining it to match the boat as I'm sad like that.

I'm after some V brakes (front and rear) and a pair of flat bar levers, so was wondering what people had.

Nice-ish quality would be nice.
Don't mind what colour.

Cheers all.
Not so much a gravel grinder.... more a gravel (mud and tarmac) groveller...

Would 2006 XT Vees and levers work for you? Would give me an excuse to start stripping my old Cadex. PM me if interested.

[Edit: took a closer look...M740 levers and M760 brakes]

Pretty sure I've a set sat in a bag that came off my old trials bike if you want them. Nothing fancy, some Tektro ones. Yours for postage.

thanks all for the offers.

The XT ones appeal most - I'm so shallow!

But the Tektros would be good for daughter's pub bike  so Greg and Scattamah have PM'd you both.

Lazarus - boat related pm may well follow in the near future! :-bd

cheers
