Insurance for riding in France

Does anyone have recommendations for cycling insurance for riding abroad, specifically France. It will be a single trip, just over a fortnight, so don't need annual cover. Needs to have both personal injury and general/public liability cover.

I found this overview https://www.freewheelingfrance.com/plan ... rance.html before you'd posted. Had a look at the "Yellow Jersey" insurance as it's the first in the list. Very similar price to CI - £3 cheaper for the pair of us which kind of confirms what the ball-park figure is going to be.

Before anyone suggests it, I've checked our home insurance (we have pedal cycle cover on this) and it doesn't cover foreign trips for personal liability. Since we will need medical cover as well, might as well get a specific policy.

We are doing the French Divide and it's one of their mandatory requirements. Their event, their rules.

In the past I’ve used Dogtag. This year I’ve gone with pedal cover (we’ve been with for household cover for several years)

Yellow Jersey, but again, the issue with this sort of thing is actually claiming or not.

As long as it's not counted as a race I'm covered by my home insurance... but annoyingly I keep doing races.

Yep, I use these. Spoke to them over the phone at some length about what was and wasn't covered (they said it excluded DH). Decent cover for the money.

TSB £28 per year. Cover is for loss of the bike only. I assume it does not cover you for personal liability. Any bike, no need to name it up to £3,500 anywhere in the world. Normal, must be locked to an immovable object but not specific on quality of lock. Don't have to have any other insurance or bank account with them. It includes stolen from your premises. Didn't go into depth as I only really wanted it for away from home. As usual it is based on where you live and I read someone else was quoted £68.
