SRAM upgrade

Post by Mariner »

My Fargo has 2x10 set up and would like to upgrade to 2x11.
As its all SRAM I have no idea what works with what and what I need to change and what I can keep?
Spec is GXP cranks 42/28 with X7 FD.
11-36T Cassette with X9 RD.
Shifters are Apex brakes are cable.
Would like a 10-42T cassette but beyond there its a mystery unless I bin the lot and start again in which case I would go Ultegra.
Any suggestions on the least expensive options?

Why not just keep what you have and fit an 11/42 cassette? I don't see any great benefit to going 11 speed from 10.

As Stu says. Potentially use a Wolftooth Road Link, I believe they will work with SRAM unlike the script says ;) https://www.18bikes.co.uk/wolftooth-wol ... dlink.html

Yeah, a Sunrace or whatever. As Paul says, you may need a Goatlink but they're not expensive.

If staying with 10 speed then probably stick with 11-40t although the 11-46t is the same price.
