Re: West coast midge report?
Steve how much did it cost to take the van over onto mull, iv heard that they have bought the prices down this yr?
Re: West coast midge report?
I think upto 6m is same price as car, £13 + £4 driver, one way Oban-Craignure.
Re: West coast midge report?
Mike, we went Oban to Craigmure and it was £22 for van and 2 adults, then came off Mull from Tobermory to Corran (sp.) for about £8. Twas cheap compared to Channel or Ireland ferries.
Re: West coast midge report?
I plan to do that after ht if hux doesn't come up. I was talking to the guy at the kiosk last time I was there and he was saying that it's being subsided so the prices were coming down :)

The ferry subsidies have been recently extended. Support comes from the Scottish Govt. The scheme is called RET and is supposed to represent how much it would cost to drive that same distance if it were all on land.

I live in the Trossachs and got my first three bites in the garden yesterday evening. Not quite west coast, but they've definitely arrived.
