The Official "Post Your Bike" Picture Thread!!!

Post by screescree »

So I've had a hunt about, and there's no picture thread for bikes and their setups! :O

I like to perv at bikes, I'm a bit of a Peeping Tom in that respect :-bd

So post your bike below, what gear you're using etc.

I'll get mine uploaded when I get home :)

Mine (Cotic Solaris) changes bag configuration with every ride  Here's how it was set up for the TransCambrian trail in March of this year.

Originally a 2014 charge cooker 3 hardail. Went rigid after forks failed, went dropbar due to wrist issues with flat bars.

Here with tri-bars on for a mixed gravel roads trip and larger than usual tent for camping with a mate (Alpkit Jaran 3).

Says I can only upload 1 image :???:

SSGeorge how'd you find the spoon saddle?

Mine is fine for shorter rides, but after every long day(for me, 120km) I've get a sore patch. Could be due to terrain/damp though.

Been using a WTB rocket lately which I like, but it restricts movement off the back of the seat due to its width.

Cheers :-bd
My issue might be due to width as its narrower than recommended when I had a (road) bike fit with a saddle pressure map. Was always fine for up to 3-4 hours though.

Sounds daft, but try the Charge Ladle, its the womens version, about 10 or 12mm wider? My mate had the same issue with Spoons, needed a wider saddle and opted for that. Worked great for him

After a recent 3 day trip. All the luggage is home made apart from the seat pack. Set up rigid but I do have sus forks as well but I prefer it rigid at the moment.

This was my bike yesterday. It's a Pinnacle Ramin 1 with some upgrades. I love it for bikepacking, it works a treat.
XT mechs and shifters, Easton carbon bars with Ergon GS3s (yay barends!), Deore chainset/BB (I wanted a wider range of gears and 2/3x9 is much cheaper than 1x11). Rockshox 30 Gold forks (surprisingly decent for a budget fork albeit a bit twangy if pushed hard), Reverb dropper (off another bike that I upgraded) but can be swapped for a Thomson Elite if I feel like it, standard wheels and tyres set up tubeless, Gorilla clips on the forks, Monki V cage under down tube when required. Mostly this was stuff I had lying around.

My former short travel bike, BMC Fourstroke, in the Fisherfield. Has lately been replaced by a 2017 Kona HeiHei DL, with which I've not yet been out on a multi day trip.

Long travel bike in the Alps. Bold Linkin Trail LT.

Fatbike in the Alps. Muru Witjira.

So happy with the bunch and feel like I can settle down with those four types of bikes for a long time to come.
